Astrology Forecast: Jan 5-11

Jan 5-7: Venus Cazimi

The planet of relationships, beauty, and value meets the sun at 15 degrees in resilient Capricorn. Translating to "the heart of the sun," in Arabic, a Cazimi is when a planet (in this case Venus) meets the sun in the same degree. When Venus joins the sun, expect the sun's light to shine bright on the truths Venus touches -- and if these truths are sustainable for your long term goals. 

Gemini rules the 15th degree, asking for communication and facts as medicine. In other words: Monday is the day to honestly examine your relationships, finances, and definition of beauty. What are the facts? Do the current status of these areas of your life support your long term dream? And if not, how can they?   

The next day, the Sun and Venus travel to the 16th degree together, allowing for a spice of Cancer to shed insight on the facts presented to you. While 15th degree Gemini asks for facts and direct communication, 16th degree Cancer calls upon your intuition, feelings, and sense of home. 

Monday gifts you the facts surrounding your relationships, finances, and definition of beauty. Tuesday asks you, "How do you feel about the facts?"

And then: there's Wednesday. 

The Sun and Venus continue their walk through the cosmos into the 17th degree, which is the Leo degree. The 17th degree is considered the "fame degree" -- it's light, expressive, and joyful. This is an auspicious sign from the cosmos, advising you to reflect on the facts and listen to your intuition about the long term capability of your relationships, finances, and material possessions (maybe even home/family due to Cancer's strong involvement?). The answers to your reflection are the portal to your joy and success this week. 

Synchronistically, the Sun and Venus will both oppose Jupiter Retrograde in Cancer throughout this three day journey. Jupiter is the cycle of growth, expansion, and good luck & fortune, and its retrograde in deep feeling Cancer amplifies the importance of reflection at this time. 

Jan 8: Mars Cazimi

On Thursday, Venus will move ahead of the Sun so action-driven Mars can step into the spotlight. The Sun and Mars have their meet-cute at 18 degrees, the Virgo degree. This degree unearths your healthy and unhealthy habits around action-taking, and how these qualities are standing in the way or propelling you forward on the Capricorn domain of your long term goals. 

Mars and the Sun trine surprise-giving Uranus, which is retrograde in Taurus. Perhaps these unhealthy habits around action have to do with finances and materialism, which is Taurus's domain (not to mention: Taurus rules Venus, the planet that just had its three-day Cazimi journey). 

As Mars and the Sun join forces, a Grand Kite forms with Neptune at 29 degrees at the focal point, asking for a stripping of delusion and illusion on this reflective journey around healthy habits. It's easy to justify an unhealthy habit when it's become a point of safety, comfort, and routine. Neptune at the anaratic degree asks you to bravely step outside of your comfort zone with fierce self love and belief in yourself. This is the only way to achieve your long term goals. 

Jan 11: Vesta Enters Aquarius

The asteroid of devotion enters rebellious Aquarius, asking you to face your authentic purpose. Now that you've reflected on the long term realities of your relationships, finances, material possessions, and healthy/unhealthy action-taking habits: it's time to embark on your Dharma. 

It's time to be unapologetically honest with yourself:

What are you willing to devote your full self to?
