This is the perfect card to enter the group chat this week. The Lovers rules Gemini, which just so happens to be the season we're entering this week. Although this is the card of partnership, its foundational meaning is choice because the key to a long term, healthy partnership is free will. How you choose to devote to yourself is how you devote to another. Think about it: the habits, reactions, beliefs, finances, and goals you choose align you to the right people for you -- romantic and platonic. So decide today how you will show up, it is the foundation for the love you seek.

Astrology Forecast: May 18-24

May 18: Mars Enters Taurus

Monday starts off on a strong note. After the powerful New Moon in Taurus meant for building for the long term, the planet of action and aggression enters that same zodiac sign. I won't lie, Mars is not the most comfy cozy in Taurus. Mars is in its detriment, meaning it can't use its typical qualities or characteristics to fulfill its duty. Think about it: Tauruses aren't aggressive warrior archetypes. They don't go full speed ahead on their goals. Their approach is grounded, patient, and consistent, which is honestly the complete opposite of Mars' way. Think of this week as the opportunity to, "think before you act." Remember: you're building a solid, sturdy foundation for the long term, and no one wants a rushed, rocky ground to build on. It takes time to create the strong groundwork you can expand upon, so embody those Taurean qualities to get it done in the time you deserve. 

5/18: Venus Enters Cancer

The planet of relationships, beauty, finances and values enters intuitive, matriarchal Cancer at the same time Mars enters Taurus. How powerful! Although Mars will be in its detriment, Venus finds great comfort in Cancer, AND Mars and Venus will form a harmoneous sextile. I find it quite lovely to witness a romantic planet enter an equally romantic zodiac sign at the end of spring/beginning of summer. The sextile between Mars and Venus in very whimsical signs feels like a summer romance. The message here is the slow down, make time for quality, heart-warming activities with loved ones, and expect love in the air! Whether you're single or coupled up, this is a magical time for romance. 

5/20: Sun Enters Gemini

On Wednesday, we say goodbye to Taurus season and hello to Gemini, marking the end of the spring and beginning of summer!

With slower moving Uranus at 1 degree Gemini, the sun will conjunct the planet of surprise and upheaval, so it is safe to say:

Expect the unexpected. 

Fortunately, the Sun will sextile Neptune and trine Pluto, and both of those planets have one quality in common: truth revealed. While Neptune removes the fog of illusion and delusion, Pluto allows truth to rise to the surface after a time hidden in the dark. Because sextiles and trines are harmoneous transits, think of the truth revealed resulting in Pluto and Neptune's positive qualities: transformation, love, and art. This could range in unexpected news about an artistic project that can transform your career, a new love interest entering the scene, or even as simple as a lovely text full of gratitude coming from a dear friend. 

Whatever the surprise is on/around Wednesday: it'll be lovely.
