Let Your Inner Fire Ignite

For months, you have been in a liminal space between an ending and beginning. You answered the challenged to shed what no longer serves for good, and this week: your auspicious beginning awaits you. 

The Queen of Wands fearlessly faces her shadow, the part of the herself that may elicit shame, fear, doubt, insecurity -- you know, the uncomfy part of you that is easy to hide. 

This Queen doesn't hide her shadow, but rather sits with this part of self. She dedicates time to understand its perspective, and therefore: finds her authentic light, her inner fire that can pave the way for others. 

This week is the week to face this part of you, for it's not going away. It's the portal to your new beginning. 

The only way you can be ready to step into the light is by befriending the dark.

Feb 17: New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius (And Chinse New Year!)

Happy Fire Horse Year! 

The year of the snake ends on Tuesday, which was all about endings, transformation, and letting go. 

The Fire Horse is all about igniting a new beginning, momentum, and action. 

What better timing for the Fire Horse year to begin than on the New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in innovative Aquarius!

New moons mark a new lunar cycle, and this isn't just any lunar cycle: 

Eclipses have long lasting effects -- a minimum of 6 months. 

What's so synchronistic about this particular eclipse is the fact that it's Annular, which quite literally translates to "ring of fire" because of the fire-colored ring that forms around the moon when it is at this particular distance between the sun and moon. 

Expect innovative, authentic, and rebellious energy within this new beginning, healing fam. A beautiful part about this transit is the fact that it serves to break unhealthy cycles and bring your focus to community as well.

Feb 18: Sun Enters Pisces

On Thursday, the Sun says goodbye to rebellious Aquarius and hello to dreamy Pisces. 

Although the eclipse and Chinese New Year mark a new beginning, Pisces is the last zodiac sign of the astrological year. It is also the ruler of the 12th house, which covers the subconscious, intuition, and letting go. This Pisces season allows for gentle integration within this beautiful new beginning.

Throughout this season, we'll see Venus and Mercury conjunct the Sun (also known as a Cazimi) along with the Sun passing through the North Node. Collectively, these magical transits will bring dreamy, loving, and spiritual energy to your communication and relationships, along with our collective purpose. 

Feb 20: Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries

For the first time in 1,000 years, Saturn will conjunct Neptune in fiery and passionate Aries. 

Saturn and Neptune are outer, slower moving planets, so they don't pass by one another very often.

The last time we saw Saturn Conjunct Neptune was when they were both in Capricorn on March 3, 1989 when Madonna debuted her single "Like A Prayer." 

The time before that? 

In Libra on November 21 1952, when ETRC (the precursor to PBS) was established.

Before that, Neptune and Saturn conjoined on August 1, 1917 in Leo, when Pope Benedict XV issued a peace plan for WWI and NAACP’s New York Chapter met with President Wilson to lobby against lynching.

Neptune rules art, spirituality, and serves to remove the fog of delusion while Saturn represents structure, boundaries, and karmic lessons that can alchemize into great success.

Although "Like a Prayer" is an iconic song that withstands the test of time, its original release became a huge point of controversy due to its provocative depiction of Catholicism and Mother Mary -- a very Neptune conjunct Saturn circumstance since religion and art are Neptune's domain and Saturn tends to create controversy.  

ETRC (the precursor to PBS) is also within Neptune's domain and a system establisher for entertainment, aka Saturnian energy. 

Then you have Pope Benedict XV issuing a peace plan -- Neptune's religion domain comes through again and Saturn joining the discourse with a plan. 

Finally, NAACP NY going to DC to lobby against lynching is all about unveiling the truth (Neptune) of a failed and violent system that never worked (Saturn). 

Do you see how this transit rhymes throughout time? How the talents of Neptune like art, unconditional love, and spirituality remove the fog of systemic oppression (a Saturnian lesson) or creates a new system (still Saturn!)?

I have hope for the world this Friday, and I’m excited to see the art and systemic change birthed on this powerful, sacred day. 🌹
